Movember: Facts about Testicular Cancer

Safety Corner

As you know, the health and safety of our employees, passengers and the communities we serve continues to be our top priority. Increasing health awareness is equally important.

Our “Movember” campaign continues with important information on testicular cancer.

Testicular cancer is another example of a cancer that can be effectively treated, and often cured, if diagnosed and treated early.

Here are some testicular cancer facts and risk factors:

  • Testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in young men in the U.S.
  • About half of testicular cancers occur in men between the ages of 20 and 34 (but, can also affect males of any age, including infants and elderly men).
  • The risk of testicular cancer among white men is about 4 to 5 times that of Black and Asian-American men.
  • Family history or men with undescended testes at birth are at an increased risk.
