“Adapting to Change”: Focus on Health: Limit Idling

Safety Corner

World Heath Day is April 7. This year’s theme is ‘Our Planet, Our Health’.

Did you know? Idling cars produce close to 2% of the U.S.’s total greenhouse gas emissions. Not to mention that it wastes fuel, can cause damage to the engine, puts the vehicle at increased risk of getting stolen and in some states it’s illegal.

As part of our Adapting to Change H&S theme, we want to remind people that just changing some habits, like limiting idling, can help our planet and improve our health.
