Welcoming “The S” to Our Portfolio

Safety Corner

On January 1, we started operations for our new client – Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA) – and their newly merged services, “The S”.

We are now operating 100% of “The S” services. This includes the operations and management of 123 vehicles and 190 employees across its multi-modal offerings incorporating their fixed route, commuter, Dial-A-Ride, ADA paratransit and shuttle services.

“The S” is the brand of the newly formed Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority, which was put together to improve operations in Stanislaus County. The new authority was formed in 2021 through the consolidation of Modesto Area Express (operated by the City of Modesto) and Stanislaus Regional Transit (operated by Stanislaus County). “The S”, as it now called, is the main provider of local and regional public transit in Stanislaus County.

“We are really proud to have been selected to partner with the Authority to complete the consolidation and operation of these services for Stanislaus County,” said Ibrahima Toure, our RVP for the Southwest. “We are looking forward to lending our experience and technological expertise as we work together to implement a simplified fare structure, roll-out new paratransit scheduling software, integrate automated vehicle locator (AVL) software and new safety tools including Lytx DriveCam and Mobileye.”

Congratulations to our entire StanRTA team for their hard work during this start-up and their ongoing efforts through the consolidation.
