Congratulations to Marie Sneed for being named Solano Transportation Authority’s (STA) Transit Employee of the Year for 2021.
Marie is truly an example of living our purpose through Care, Share and Dare.
Marie was hired as a bus operator 15 years ago with no experience, but a passion to give back to her community.
- She dared to break barriers and show that a stay-at-home mother of six could provide and support her family just like the men around her could.
- She cares about providing safe and reliable transportation to her community and promotes workplace safety and contributes to the employee morale at SolTrans.
- She shares her knowledge and experience and mentors other employees with both work and life challenges. She treats her passengers and colleagues as her own family (not to mention sharing her cooking talents with them).
It is no surprise she was recognized for all that she brings to her job, her colleagues and her community. Congratulations Marie.
