Since Rebecca joined the Fairfax Connector family in July 2019, she has proven to be an incredible asset to the company. She handles herself in a very professional manner and exhibits top-notch customer service skills.

As she was operating her regular route, with 10 passengers onboard, one winter’s day, she couldn’t have imagined the sequence of events that were about to unfold. Without warning, a tractor-trailer, which was travelling along an adjacent highway, suddenly crashed through the guardrail and ended up on the on the road where she was driving. The tractor-trailer managed to go between two cars, which had just passed in front of Rebecca’s bus. Despite the sudden dangerous situation, Rebecca was able to remain focused and maintained control of the vehicle she was driving. Her training and exceptional skills kicked in to save her life and the lives of her 10 passengers on her transit bus, not to mention avoiding injuring anyone in the surrounding area of the accident.
