Phoenix TV Promotes Transdev as Great Option for a 2nd Career

Safety Corner

Our team in Phoenix recently hosted their local Channel 15 (ABC affiliate) TV station on site.

The station put together a story highlighting the growing trend that people are facing around the need to transition jobs / careers, at different stages of their lives, as a result of pandemic-related job loss. One of Phoenix’s new hires, Operator Joel Nieto, was interviewed.

Joel used to work in a call center for the airlines. He lost his job at the height of the pandemic, then through workforce development he found Transdev. Coincidentally, he also had applied at Phoenix’s most recent job fair.

The story does a great job showing how, regardless of your background, Transdev can not only provide you with a job, but a career.

Prior to working with Transdev, Joel had never driven a bus. Now, with the training Joel received from Transdev, he feels confident to transport passengers to where they need to go, safely and reliably – offering them the freedom to move.

Great job to the Phoenix team!
