We are excited to kick off our new partnership with SolTrans to provide transit services in South Solano County starting July 1, 2021.
Our proposal to SolTrans was the highest ranked due to our focus on building a strong employee culture, implementing innovative technology to enhance the management of the system, and our experience managing and maintaining electric bus fleets.
We will be operating the multimodal SolTrans system within the cities of Benicia and Vallejo, with regional connections to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) in Contra Costa County. We will be maintaining the SolTrans fleet of 68 buses to deliver 16 bus routes, which include nine local routes, three supplemental school routes operating within the Benicia/ Vallejo area, three lines which provide regional service connections, and the entire paratransit service.
“We know that our experience, including our electrification expertise, along with our knowledge of this region, can make a difference to SolTrans and their riders,” said Ron Bushman, RVP for the Northwest region. “The new technology options that we provide will offer significant improvements to the service, quality and passenger experience. We are looking forward to helping SolTrans recover from the recent effects of the pandemic and make a positive impact to support our new partnership.”
Congratulations to the business development team on securing this new contract and wishing the SolTrans team all the best for a successful start-up.
