Congratulations to our Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA (Div-98) team for being recognized by the Metro’s Office of Civil Rights & Inclusion (OCR) at their Virtual Annual Accessibility Awards held earlier this month.
LACMTA won three awards based on their Mystery Rider Program and CCATS records:
- 2nd Place in Best Customer Service
- 2nd Place in Most # of Accessibility Commendations
- 3rd Place in Best Securement Offer Compliance
Additionally, we are so proud of driver Robert Lacy, who received the “Above and Beyond Award” for exemplifying exceptional service in the area of accessibility. Robert was recognized based on the commendation he received from a passenger who participated in the ADA mystery rider program.
When asked to describe Robert Lacy, Karina Hernandez, LACMTA Assistant Operations Manager said, “Robert is an outstanding operator who excels in his position as an operator and prides himself in going above and beyond to provide great customer service to his ridership. He also has a great repour with the supervision team, as well as management. It is always a great pleasure to be in his presence.”
