Pedestrian & Cyclist Safety Focus Continues in NAPA and AVTA

Safety Corner

Under the umbrella of our Stay Street Smart Sept./Oct. theme, there remains a strong focus on pedestrian and cyclist awareness.

Recently, at our NAPA location, morning supervisors (Benny Ramirez, Joe Villalobos and Tyler Cross) took the time to set up an obstacle course to help their operators increase their awareness around pedestrians and cyclist on the road. They are keeping their road safety priorities top-of-mind even as they deal with the challenges of their local wildfires.

And, at our Antelope Valley operations (AVTA) recently joined with the City of Lancaster to promote their nationally recognized SEE AND BE SEEN traffic safety education program. To raise awareness for cyclist and pedestrian safety, together with the city we spread the word through a very direct and simple message: EYES UP – PHONE DOWN.

Thanks for continuing to make safety a priority.
