Social distancing is something that is on the minds of people everywhere in our current COVID-19 world. It is one of the concepts we are incorporating into our daily operations to help protect both our drivers and our passengers and to minimize the public health risk of spreading COVID-19 wherever possible.
In coordination with many of our clients, our operations have implemented various social distancing solutions.
- Asking passengers to board from the back of the bus
- Asking passengers not to board a vehicle if they are sick
- Blocking off seats to allow more space between passengers when on the bus
- Taping off seats on the benches and shelters where passengers wait for the bus
- Posting signs and creating a “buffer” area for the driver by making the seats closest to the driver inaccessible to passengers
- Limiting the number of passengers we transport at one time on some of our paratransit vehicles
