Transdev Advocates for Vaccine Prioritization

Safety Corner

Today, our U.S. CEO, Laura Hendricks, sent a letter to the Governors of every state where we conduct business asking them to prioritize public transportation employees as high on the COVID-19 vaccine distribution list of essential workers as possible.

There are national guidelines stating that public transportation workers are part of category 1-B in the priority list to gain access to the vaccine, but there also is discretion within that category to prioritize further. Given our commitment to prioritizing the health and safety of our teams and the passengers and communities they serve, Laura thought it was critically important to do as much as she could to advocate on behalf of our people.

We will not be mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for our employees. Rather, we are committed to getting access to the vaccine for our teams so they have the option to make the best decisions for themselves.

A copy of the generic letter is included here for your information.
