New Team Makes Us Proud: Successful Start-Up in Peoria, IL

Safety Corner

On December 1 we launched our new partnership with the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (GPMTD). Our new contract includes the management of both their CityLift (ADA Paratransit) and CountyLink (Demand Response) transportation services for roughly 165,000 annual trips.

Congratulations to General Manager Angel Marinich and her team for a successful start-up. “It was awesome and went off without a hitch,” South Central Regional Vice President, Bill Spraul, said proudly.

“Through our new partnership, we are looking forward to working with GPMTD to enhance their strong 50-year legacy in the community of providing safe and reliable transportation to their loyal passengers,” said Laura Hendricks, CEO, Transdev U.S.

This is the first time that the CityLift and CountyLink services will be combined under the same contract and reaping the benefits of efficiencies shared between the two contracts.

“The unique door-to-door service offered to CityLift and CountyLink rural passengers is critical to this community and we are confident that by leveraging the innovative, technology solutions that we bring to GPMTD,  we can provide an even better passenger experience to our new riders who depend and rely on this service every day,” added Hendricks.

We signed a five-year contract and will be managing the reservations, scheduling, dispatch, service delivery, operations and maintenance aspects of this contract with the support of 50 vehicles and 80 employees.
