GORaleigh Recognizes Drivers for Outstanding Safety Records

Safety Corner

Regularly recognizing and celebrating our safety accomplishments is so important and a key element of our safety culture.

Our GORaleigh operation in North Carolina recently celebrated key safety milestones achieved by four of their bus operators.

The three drivers listed below reached 1 million driving miles without a preventable accident. That’s the equivalent of 12 years of safe driving!

  • Vincent Price – preventable accident free since August 5, 2008
  • Melinda Perry – preventable accident free since May 7, 2008
  • Bernice O’Neal – preventable accident free since August 18, 2008

They also celebrated a 2-million-mile milestone. That’s 24 years of safe driving!

  • Aldonia Brown – preventable accident free since September 3, 1996.

FUN FACT: Did you know that one million miles is the equivalent of driving a bus round-trip to the moon and back, twice!

Congratulations to these exceptional drivers for reaching these most notable safety milestones.  Well done and thank you for ensuring the health and safety of your passengers is your top priority.
