Duane Eskierka brings more than 20 years of experience in transit leadership to his role as COO of our business unit focused on fixed route bus and paratransit services. He leads a team dedicated to our core principles of uncompromising safety, superior operating performance and continuous improvement following lean management principles. He also leads non-emergency medical transfer brokerage businesses and is focused on growth opportunities and continuous improvement.
Duane has held varying roles of increasing responsibility and built a track record of success as a general manager, regional vice president, senior vice president and more recently as chief operating officer. He has led teams that delivered consistently positive results and has also helped engineer significant performance improvements in multiple contracts across the country.
He is adept at building trust-based relationships and strong teamwork and has mentored many managers. An innovative problem-solver and thought leader in transit operations and business development, Duane has been a strong contributor in many areas in his 24 years with the company.
He has a bachelor’s degree in human resources and a master’s degree in business management. In addition, he is a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years. He has also served on numerous APTA committees and in a variety of roles in community organizations.
